The ongoing initiative by the Male' City Council to repair and renovate the city's mosques will be completed in time for the holy month of Ramadan, according to the Mayor of Male', Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Sharing an update on the work on his personal Twitter account, the Mayor confirmed that, even though work was underway at different sites simultaneously, the main tasks would all be completed in the next two weeks.
Noting that the City Council had allocated 8 million Rufiyaa from their revenue budget, to supplement the paltry 1 million allocated for the task by the central government, the Mayor noted that work was proceeding as planned and that his team was confident that it would be done in time for the first day of Ramadan.
