The Mayor of Malé City, Adam Azim, has inspected the condition of Masjid al-Amin Jaleel and the Hulhumalé Cemetery Mosque, both of which are under the jurisdiction of the Malé City Council in Hulhumalé Phase 2.
During the visit, Mayor was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Mikael Mohamed Riyaz, Hulhumalé North Constituency Councilor Fathimath Zahiyya, Hulhumalé Central Constituency Councilor Ahmed Saneeh, and Hulhumalé South Constituency Councilor Ahmed Ghalib.
The aim of the visit was to carefully oversee the essential repairs and continuous upkeep at these two mosques. During the inspection, the delegation assessed the renovation needs and the availability of facilities for those attending prayers.
Malé City Council stated that maintaining the mosques of Malé City as clean and hygienic spaces is a top priority for the Council. Furthermore, Mayor Adam Azim provided assurance that the Council will continuously undertake all necessary efforts to ensure that mosques remain pleasant and sanitary environments for the public.
There are currently a total of 41 mosques under the care of the Malé City Council. The Council continues to carry out the management and maintenance of all these mosques through a structured plan.
