The Male' City Council has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Dutch Docklands International. Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Mayor of Male' signed on behalf of the Male' City Council, while Mr. Paul van de Camp, CEO of Dutch Docklands signed on their behalf.
The MoU focuses on finding corporate solutions for the growing housing problem in the city.
Speaking after the signing, Mayor Muizzu emphasised that housing was the City Council's top priority, and that they were looking into every possible avenue to find speedy and sustainable solutions to the housing crunch in Male'. Dr. Muizzu noted that, under the MoU, the two parties would try to find affordable housing solutions.
The Male' City Council, in its 46th Sitting today had endorsed the MoU, and the MoU confirms the City Council as a partner in the Dutch Docklands International's Maldives Floating City project.
