Male' City Council holds first-ever Staff Night at colourful event with awards and recognitions for staffers

The Male' City Council has held its first-ever Staff Night. The colourful event, held at Henveiru Stadium in Male', included numerous awards and recognitions for long and dedicated service to the establishment.

In addition to cash prizes and certificates for long-service, staffers were also able to participate in lucky draws with notable prizes, including 5 Umrah Pilgrimate opportunities, as well as return air tickets to Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Other awards, which were sponsored by well-wishers from the business community, included resort trips, visits to Crossroads Maldives, free medical checkups, among others.

At the function, the Mayor thanked everyone who sponsored the awards, and hailed MCC staffers for their dedicated service. The Male' City Council, and its forerunner the Male' Municipality, is one of the longest running public establishments in the country. The Male' Municipality was first established 67 years ago in 1956, during the reign of Sultan Mohamed Fareed I.
