Offcials of the Male' City Council have revealed that the programme to digitalise all Male' City Council administration and services are ongoing as planned, and much of the work on scanning existing hardcopy documentation has already been completed.
The 'Digital Male'' initiative is designed to bring City Council services to the fingertips of every resident, where they can avail of all municipal and other services from the comfort of their homes.
Much of the document scanning involving the largest departments of Male' City Council, including the Vital Registration Department, Land Department, Procurement Department and Human Resources Department, has already been done, according to sources.
"Much of the scanning has involved birth registries and residency papers, and everything from 2016 until 2022 has been finished", the official said.
