The new buggy service in Villimale' has received a resounding reception by residents: Mayor Muizzu

The Mayor of Male' City, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has revealed that residents of Villimale' have given the City Council positive feedback on the newly introduced buggy service on the island. "It has been a resounding success", Dr. Muizzu told reporters.

The Mayor said that, to date, 15,392 trips have been completed through calls and a further 8936 done on designated routes.

The new buggy service was provided free of charge from the date of inception to Eid al Fitr.

The battery buggies are environment-friendly, and come in different seating capacities for the convenience of resident families. Some buggies are also customised for goods carry and use in medicare situations.
