Renovation and Beautification of Hulhumalé Cemetery Mosque Underway
Renovation work at Masjid Zaid bin Thabit in the Hulhumalé Cemetery is currently underway as part of a Malé City Council initiative to improve the mosque’s facilities and overall condition.
The ongoing work includes replacing tiles in the ablution area, repainting the mosque, repairing water leaks in the ablution area’s roof, replacing ceiling panels, and repairing doors.
The project is being carried out by AZ Construction under a contract awarded by Malé City Council. The improvements aim to address existing issues and provide a better experience for mosque users.
Mayor Adam Azim said that all mosques under the council’s administration should be maintained to a high standard. He noted that these improvements will help create a cleaner, more comfortable, and welcoming environment for worshippers and visitors.
Once completed, the project will enhance the mosque’s appearance and cleanliness while providing greater convenience for those attending funeral services and daily prayers.
