The Mayor and the Councilor inspected the condition of the damaged roads and alleys in Machangolhi North

The Mayor of Malé City, Adam Azim, Deputy Mayor Mekael Mohamed Riyaz and the Councilor for Machangolhi North Khadheeja Mohamed have inspected damaged roads and narrow alleys in the area to plan necessary repairs.

During the inspection, three damaged roads were identified. Two more roads were also found to need redevelopment to prevent flooding during the rainy season.

During the visit, Mayor Azim and Councilor Khadheeja also met with residents to hear their concerns directly.

Councilor Khadheeja Mohamed said these roads have been in poor condition for a long time. She said people using these roads and alleys have suffered injuries. She also said that rain damage is serious.

Mayor Azim said work is already being done to improve and beautify the streets of Malé. He said special attention is being given to lighting narrow alleys and repairing damaged roads and lanes.

The Malé City Council said that work is ongoing to develop roads to modern standards and improve the city environment. It also said plans are being made to find a permanent solution to flooding, adding light posts along with necessary road repairs.

It has also been observed that since the new councilors took their oath this year, they have been meeting residents, listening to their concerns and working to solve their problems quickly and efficiently.
