Signage and billboards bearing social messaging have been put up across the city on Thursday, under an initiative of the Male' City Council.
The programme is part of the City Council's Strategic Action plan, and are designed to spread positive social messages among residents of all ages.
Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Mayor of Male', in a tweet dated yesterday, said that more signage would be put up in strategic locations in the weeks to come.
The messages on the billboards have drawn praise from scholars and members of the public, with many taking to social media to praise the Mayor and the City Council for undertaking the initiative.
