The Male' City Council Park Volleyball Tournament 1443 final matches were played out tonight and awards presented to the winners.
The women's final was played first. The game between Police Club 'A' and Maldives Volleyball Veterans was won by two sets to one by Police Club 'A'.
In the men's final between DVVA Sky and DVVA Shooters, the game ended with a straight sets win for the DVVA Shooters team.
After the two games, winning prize money, medals and certificates were given out by the Mayor of Male', Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Deputy Mayor Ahmed Narysh, Members of the Male' City Council and invited dignitaries, including the President of the Maldives Volleyball Association, Mohamed Raneysh, Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Central Asian Volleyball Association Mohamed Riyaz, Director of Operations of Ooredoo Shabeen Ali and Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Hussain Niyaz.
The final standings in the women's divison were:
Champions - Police Club 'A'
Runners-up - Maldives Volleyball Veterans
Second Runners-up - Volleyball Youth New Generation
Fourth Place - DVVA Queens
Fifth Place - Aspiration for All Initiative Sports Club
The final standings in the men's division were:
Champions - DVVA Shooters
Runners-up - DVVA Sky
Second Runners-up - Maldives Volleyball Veterans
Fourth Place - DVVA Bulls
Fifth Place - Kuda Henveiru United
The champions in both categories recieved MVR 45,000, the winners' trophy and certificates. Teams placed second to fifth recieve prize money of MVR 25,00, MVR 15,000, MVR 10,000 and MVR 5,000, respectively.
The King and Queen of the Tournament won MVR 5,000, certificates and medals.
