In a message on the auspicious occassion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Mayor of Male', Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged for the people to foster friendship and fraternity.
In a Tweet, the Mayor emphasised the need to promote community spirit, and pointed out the need to look after one another and to extend a helping hand to those in need. He also extended warm greetings and good wishes of Eid.
Furthermore, the Male' City Council had extended Eid greetings to residents via sms. Many had subsequently taken to social media to note that the City Council had been the first to extend Eid greetings to the people and welcomed the Mayor's gesture.
