Male' City Council issues regulations for displaying political campaign banners and posters in public areas of the capital

The Male' City Council has issued detailed regulations to allow political parties and candidates to display political posters and banners in public spaces in the capital city. The regulation extends to national elections and internal party primaries and elections in registered political parties.

The regulation states that political parties and candidates must apply to the Male' City Council for permission before displaying political paraphenalia in public spaces, and that those who violate the regulation would be fined. The regulation adds that such unauthorised paraphenalia would be removed by Male' City Council officials and disposed accordingly, and that the City Council would not take any responsibility for such material.
