The Male' City Council and Uyoon Institute have entered into an MoU to hold free classes for young people interested in taking the Holy Quran to memory in the capital.
The proposal to hold the classes was presented to MCC by Uyoon. The MoU was signed on their behalf by the Institute's Director, Dr. Ali Zahir. The MoU spells out the roles and responsibilities for the two organisations in holding these free classes in four designated mosques in Male'.
Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Mayor of Male' signed on behalf of the Male' City Council. The Mayor noted that the proposal by Uyoon was in line with MCC's priorities, including the goals outlined in their five-year Strategic Action Plan.
