In a move to make municipal service delivery more affordable to the public in the runup to the holy month of Ramadan, the Male' City Council has announced that selected general service fees would be reduced with immediate effect. The decision was taken by the Municipal Services Committee of MCC.
Among the services that were identified for fee reductions were those related to the use of the Male' and Villimale' harbour area, including mooring fees. Payments related to construction closures of roads were also included among the fees that would be revised with immediate effect.
The changes have been posted on the Government Gazette, including the revised fees, and will be effective from 26 February 2023.
