The Male' City Council has announced that a Holy Quran recitation competition would be held under their auspices, during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The "Male' City Council Holy Quran Recitation Competition 1443 H." is divided into two groups - the juniors and seniors. The juniors are to be grouped into under 6, under 9 and under 13 ages, while the seniors will be divided into under 16 and under 19 ages. The age groups will be designated by age at 1 January 2022.
Prize money of MVR 7000, MVR 5000 and MVR 3000 will be awarded to the top three contestants in each age groups, respectively. The overall winner will take home MVR 1000, while the second and third placed contestants will win MVR 7000 and MVR 5000, respectively.
The deadline for participation is set for 20th March 2022, and application forms can be obtained either from this website or from Bureau of the Male' City Council (MWSC Customer Service Building, 3rd Floor) in Male' between 8 am and 2 pm on working days.
