The Malé City Council has carried out cleaning and maintenance work on palm trees at Artificial Beach in Malé.
The activity was done to keep the area clean and safe for the public.
The Council said the work helps maintain public spaces in good condition. It also said Artificial Beach is a busy area where many people gather, so regular maintenance is important.
Mayor Adam Azim said the Council gives priority to keeping public spaces clean and well maintained.
During the work, dried leaves and unwanted parts of the palm trees were removed, and the area was cleaned.
The Council also said similar cleaning work is carried out regularly in Malé and Vilimalé.
