Male’ City Council Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to schedule meetings with citizens of Male’ and Vilimale’ to get their opinion to make the Land Use Plan.
The meetings with the public are scheduled to start on 5th August, from Galolhu destrict, starting all the meetings at 8:30pm. Galolhu meeting will be held at the City Park. Following this, Vilimale’ meeting will be held on 8th August at the football ground, while Mahchangolhi meeting will be held at the Maafannu Turf Ground on 10th August.
Moreover, Mayor will be meeting with the Maafannu citizens on 12th August at Rasfannu, and the citizens of Henveiru on 14th August at the Lonuziyaarai Park.
Mayor will be looking forward to get the public’s view on making the Land Use Plan, creating new public housing projects and issuing land plots from Gulhifalhu. Furthermore, he will also be discussing the timings of road closures for construction work, making the roads safer and peaceful place for those who walk. The issue of free-roaming stray cats, and managing roads restricted for vehicles will be addressed too.
In addition to this, the mayor will also discuss introducing traffic wardens, parking buildings and futsal and netball courts as well. In addition to all of this, more discussions will be carried out regarding issues specialized for the particular district, such as building a mosque at Maafannu Bodugey.
Regarding the Land Use Plan, Male’ City Council has already held meetings with different authorities, social clubs and associations
